Foods to eat to keep your skin moist and hydrated

While topical lotions and potions help in keeping skin smooth and ward of dry, flaky skin, what you eat also can significantly influence your skin’s ability to retain moisture.  Consume foods that are high in omega-3 fatty acids (salmon, herring, tuna, trout, extra virgin olive oil) antioxidants (nuts, avocado, sweet potato), and silica (whole grains, oatmeal, brown rice, bananas, mangos, spinach, and green beans).
